What to Bring for your Stone Bear Retreat

            For all retreats:
Appropriate seasonal clothing for walking outdoors (keeping the flies and mosquitoes in mind)
Personal water bottle to keep hydrated through the day
Small-medium beverage cup for refreshment and meal times
            Environmentally-safe bug repellent (if desired)
(There may be additional items depending on your retreat schedule. Please ask Stone Bear contacts before you arrive.)

            Additional items for overnight retreats:
            Sleepingbag and pillow
            Flashlight
Light blanket or poncho for around the evening campfire activities
Any personal items (such as toothbrush, towel, facecloth, medications, etc)

            What Not to Bring

Drugs, alcohol, and weapons are prohibited
            Pets
            Balls and frisbees
Personal scented products (perfume, hair spray, scented lotions and soaps, etc)
Electronics (such as iPods, MP3 players, games, cell phones, etc)

Part of the concept at the lodge is to distance ourselves from electronics and gain a closer “presence” within the forest and landscape around us.
Enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.
            * Note that time can be set aside for cell phone emergency use in a designated area.

For the safety of our groups and the environment, designated areas for smoking will be made available if needed.
