Thank you for the super website, big improvement!! We appreciate All the invitations to Stone Bear and the Sacredness of everything that happens there. The Love and Respect that is generated there and in the community of Bear River gives us a Peace and relaxation that we have never found anywhere we have ever visited. Getting back to the Old Ways that our Ancestors knew and lived renews our faith in humanity. Many thanks Frank for your many years of hard work and diligence in caring for this enchanted area. When we are in Ceremony at Stone Bear we can actually feel the Spirits of the Ancestors.
This site is awesome and even just strolling through the pages gives a sense of peace and calmness. If the web site can send this much positive energy to the readers, just imagine what they feel when they visit Stone Bear...."WOW". Wela'lin :)
"at bear there are retreats, medicines, stories, meditations, basket making, sweetgrass burning, sacred ashed from loved ones, mi`kmaq humor, making new friends, get togethers, and so much more go on at stone bear, all my relations."
I like your new website, very nice
Stone Bear is a very wonderful peaceful place to visit, very welcoming and interesting, lots of great memories
Frankie, it's truly amazing what you have envisioned and created here. So comforting to the Spirit. I enjoyed the gathering very much, and seeing old friends...and I could quite happily spend the rest of my days camped here....(smile) Thank you
Stone Bear is the one place, when I sing and drum in the woods the spirits sing with me. The energy there is amazing, it is a place to unwind and recharge, disconnect and reconnect. A place that holds something for every soul that finds their way there. I will never tire of the place or the people and would recommend everyone visit at least once.
Thanks again, Frank, Shalan, and Dusty, for a serene experience last weekend, and for sharing your stories and songs. Thanks Dusty for the beautiful wooden flowers, and for teaching the kids how to make them, and thanks especially, Shalan for the really spectacular food, frybread, and luskie.
Shalan made us feel very special with her very special presence and stories/teachings. We consider this time together as one of the highlights of our trip and will never be forgotten. Peace and Abundance to you and all the Bear River families.
My cousins arrived from out west seeking a connection to our beautiful Mi'kmaw culture. My first thought was to take them to the Cultural Heritage center where they could view some photos and exhibits, but when we arrived we found that center was closed and wasn't going to be opened any time soon. We asked if there was someone to take us around and show us the medicine trail I had been on years ago, although we didn't have time to stay and do so that day. We were then introduced to Shalan who invited us to come back so that she could take us on the kind of walk we were looking for.
We arrived not anticipating the beautiful experience that we received. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your stories and songs during our recent visit. We felt so welcomed. This was a humbling experience that left us with peace of mind and happy hearts. We'lalin.
